Dance has always been an important part of my life.

I fell in love with Contact Improvisation. 

It offers me the opportunity to embody the dance of relationship. Relationship with myself, the space, other people, with movement, energy, gravity and touch.

 

Contact Improvisation is a completely spontaneous and dynamic form of dance

which places me so deeply into a state of listening and responding

that I am able to completely loose myself in connected movement.

 

I share a deep dance process called Contact Beyond Contact.

Drawing techniques from Contact Improvisation and other dance forms, Contact Beyond Contact brings dance together with the meditative awareness & energy work of disciplines like yoga and martial arts.

Contact Beyond Contact explores so much more than just physical touch, paying a great deal of attention to the space in between, the environment and the heart. The process also deliberately invites the participants to open their eyes to witness the unconscious behavioural patterns that may manifest through the dance.

The aim of each session is to activate a tangible connection within the whole group. To co-create a space of true unity which is infused with presence and meaning.

This practice holds the potential for great healing to take place, which may unfold in silence between complete strangers.
